Hello Crocker Families!
The 2013 Benefit Auction will be here before you know it! It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, it’s on Saturday, March 2nd, and we want to make sure everyone starts thinking about getting sitters, possible donations, hosting sign-up parties, and – your OUTFITS.
We say this, because this year you may want to do a bit more planning than usual… The theme of this year’s auction is:
“Crocker Highlands Rocks the 80’s”
That’s right – we said “theme. “ Just to make things that much more fun and festive.
That’s right – we said the 1980’s. Whether you were in college, high school, elementary school or diapers during some portion of that decade, there really is something for everybody, here. We’ll demonstrate that in a minute, but first a couple of important FAQ’s:
Q: Do I have to come in costume?
A: Absolutely not. But we guarantee you will have far more fun if you do.
Q: Do our donations/parties have to be “80’s theme-d”?
A: No, they do not – but if you’re stuck, feel free to use the 80’s as a jumping-off point for inspiration.
Q: Is Beth Rhine coming in costume?
A: She will if we have anything to say about it…
So… have your doubts you can be inspired by the 80’s? Don’t think the 80’s mean anything to you? Can’t think of a single thing to wear? We will leave you with just a few choice reminders of what this decade was all about (below), with more to follow in the coming weeks on our auction website: auction.crockerschool.org.
Start thinking, talking, and collaborating NOW! It will come up fast, and we want this to be Crocker’s best auction ever!
Yours in Shoulder Pads,
Nicole Fee and Jennifer Black
