We are looking forward to seeing you at the Crocker Auction this Saturday!! Here is some information to help make it a good experience.
What is it all about?
It is a fun community event as well as the largest of the Crocker PTA fundraising efforts that provide essential programs to benefit all our children and help make Crocker Highlands the great school it is.
What Happens at the Auction?
When you arrive at 6pm, stop at the registration table to check in and get your bidder number. Your bidder number will be placed onto your catalog. So, if you already have a catalog, do not forget to bring it to the auction! All purchases (except for drinks) will be put on your bidder number and credit card.
At registration, you will also have the opportunity to purchase a Golden Ticket and wine for your table during dinner. You’ll then move on to the next table to pick up your name-tag.
Silent Auction, Drinks & Hors D’oeuvres 6:00-7:45
Throughout the evening, the bars will be accepting cash only. We will have wine (both by the glass and bottle), beer, sparkling water and some yummy specialty cocktails available. There will be passed hors d’oeuvres during the silent auction so, while you munch and mingle, you will be able to bid at the silent auction tables.
Shop around and bid on everything you want! Be sure to print clearly on the bid sheets your name and bidder number when bidding; most invoice errors are due to hasty handwriting. The silent auction tables begin closing at 7:15pm, with sections closing just minutes apart. You’ll want to pay attention to what is closing so you don’t miss anything you want!
Please bring your catalog with you to the auction, as we only have enough for each attending family.
Golden Ticket
50 Tickets – $100 each
The Golden Ticket winner will get their pick of ANY LIVE AUCTION item offered this year before they hit the auction block! The Golden Ticket winner will be selected through a great game of HEADS OR TAILS.
At the beginning of the Live Auction the 50 people vying for the Golden Ticket will be called to stand up and play. The game begins with each player putting their hand on their Head or their Tail. The flip of a coin will determine who stays and who goes. The last one standing wins!
Live Auction & Dinner
After the silent tables close, we will all head downstairs and find a seat at our table (your table number can be found on your name tag.) Be prepared for great food, lots of fun and a ton of bidding on all the fantastic Live Auction items!
Check Out
While some of you will be heading downstairs to the Wine Cellar, others of you will be ready to head home after a great evening. Check Out will not begin until after the live auction and dinner end. You must stay to check out if you have won any items – this includes winnings from the online auction. The winning bidder of any purchases left behind will be contacted the following week about where to pick up their items and a $25 service fee will be added to their bill. Note that the invoices will be preliminary as the live items, Raise Your Paddle, and some additional charges may not have had a chance to be entered until the next day.
What should I wear?
The event is cocktail attire, but almost anything goes!
How do I get to the Auction & where should I park?
The Rotunda Building is located at 300 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, at the corner of Telegraph Avenue and 16th Street. On the Telegraph/Broadway side (they intersect in front of the building) you will see Men’s Warehouse. The main entrance to the Rotunda is on the Plaza side where San Pablo Avenue ends in the drop off circle. Complimentary valet parking has been provided and the valet attendants will be waiting in the drop off circle.
Lastly….
Make sure to mingle, have fun, eat and enjoy and get to know our Crocker community. It will be a great evening. We look forward to seeing you there!
