Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I stay up to date with Auction updates?

Sign up for Konstella, come back here :)

Q: What is the “Auction Drive”?

The time period November 1- January 19 when families and businesses donate items/services/gifts to be auctioned off in the future Crocker Auction. Those items, services, gifts will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for Crocker Elementary. It is an important time period! We encourage each family to donate 1 item/service per child or donate their time as an event night volunteer March 18.

Q: What should I donate to the drive? I need help!

Here you go! We have a bunch of ideas but you can come up with your own too! Anything, big or small we can work with and make it fabulous. Be creative, we can help! If you’d like us to make it into a bundle, just let us know in the notes. Need more help? Email mkatetran@gmail.com or ashleyclarkefm@gmail.com and we’ll put our minds together.

Q: Why should I come to the auction night?

  1. To help raise money for Crocker, of course.
Crocker Highlands provides a wonderfully rich public education in a stimulating and supportive environment like no other. A great deal of what makes Crocker so fantastic is not paid for by the state, however. We depend heavily on proceeds from the auction to pay for many programs that make a big difference for our kids, including library services, computer lab, music, physical activity, Spanish, and more. But if you cannot make it to auction night, don’t worry. Bid on items from our online auction or tell a Friend to bid for you on during Auction night!

  2. To build community
We are all in this together: to help our kids learn and grow in the best possible way. Beyond raising money and volunteering our time, this involves getting to know each other, so that our kids (and we!) can feel like part of a larger, supportive community while we’re at Crocker. Coming together at events like the auction is a big part of what makes this happen. If the price of the auction ticket prevents you from attending, please contact Principal ) to make special arrangements. We want to see you there!

  3. To have FUN!
The Crocker Auction is always a good time—ask anybody! The auction items themselves are truly fabulous, the mood festive, the libations flowing, and the food fantastic.

Q: What to wear?

Whatever makes you feel fabulous and comfortable but we also have a theme if you’d like to dress up with it.

Q: What do I get for my event ticket?

Your ticket is all-inclusive for entry, food, drinks, and entertainment. The event opens with a cocktails with light bites then followed by a sit down dinner, full bar. There will be a variety of other activities you can join like photo booth, games, silent and live auction, and raise the paddle. Some of those may have additional costs starting at $10. We welcome all. We have sponsored or discounted tickets. Please email the Principal to ask about them!

Q: Are drinks included?

For your convenience, we’ve included everything you need in the basic ticket price. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available. It will be a great night, for a great cause!

The Silent Auction happens first: from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. When you arrive, you will check in, get your bidder number, and are welcome to start bidding on items on the Silent Auction tables.

Then during dinner, our professional auctioneer will launch the Live Auction—truly an exciting experience you will not soon forget! This includes attendees bidding on fun items and our annual Raise the Paddle for Crocker and Crocker Shares Fund.

“Check-out” will be available shortly after the Live Auction is over—this is when you verify your credit card charges. You’ll pick up your items at the auction and any leftover items will be coordinated for pickup.
